MLB Betting: Dodgers vs Braves & Mariners vs Angels – 06/25/22

In today’s MLB betting guide, the Los Angeles Dodgers look to stay one step ahead of the San Diego Padres for the top spot in the NL West as they visit the Atlanta Braves. Meanwhile, the Seattle Mariners and Los Angeles Angels clash in an AL West battle to determine control over second place.

Los Angeles Dodgers (+135) vs Atlanta Braves (-155)

The Dodgers continued their winning ways, extending their streak to four games with a victory over the Braves last night. With two games in two days over the weekend, they have an opportunity to put some distance between themselves and the Padres. They’ll go to Mitch White to start the game, who is 1-1 in his last seven starts with an ERA (earned run average) of 3.48 and 23 strikeouts in 20.2 innings. Luckily, the bats have been cracking in LA as they’ve recorded 30 runs in their last four games, becoming one of the most offensively gifted teams in the league in the previous week.

Leave this field empty if you're human:

Atlanta will depend on the services of Max Fried to get them back into this three-game series, and he’s their best bet. He’s 3-0 in his last seven starts, with a 2.42 ERA and 42 strikeouts. He was nearly untouchable in his outing against the San Francisco Giants, striking out eight and allowing just one run on five hits in seven innings. He’ll be feeling pretty good about himself after winning his arbitration hearing with the Braves, and he’ll look to justify his new $6.85 million price tag with a win tonight.

Seattle Mariners (+115) vs Los Angeles Angels (-135)

The Mariners have won their last four games, including a series sweep against the Oakland Athletics and their opening-game victory against the Angels last night. After dropping three of four to the same team, Seattle kept up with an Angels batting order that can do damage, and they’ll aim to hold them off again when Logan Gilbert takes to the mound. He’s 3-2 in his last seven with a 2.40 ERA and 40 strikeouts in 45 innings. He’s struck out 12 in his last 12 innings while allowing just two runs and hopes to continue his dominance with a big game tonight.

Patrick Sandoval will attempt to put the last three games behind him as he gets the nod for the Angels tonight. He’s allowed 16 hits in his previous three starts, finishing with one loss and two no-decisions. The Angels are capable of putting away this Mariners team, but they’ll need a more consistent effort from their infield to supplement the effort from the bullpen. In surprising news, Reid Detmers was sent to the minors six weeks after earning a no-hitter, so we’ll see what that does to the Angels pitching rotation in that time.
