UEFA Nations League Betting: SVN vs SRB & SUI vs POR – 06/12/22

Today’s action features games from five different groups, including some of the top teams of this tournament in Group A2. Slovenia will be eager to earn a victory over Serbia after dropping their first match against them in this tournament. Meanwhile, Portugal aims to expand on their two-point lead over Spain in Group A2 as they take on Switzerland. This is the place to find everything, including team win odds, the over/under, and point spreads.

Moneyline: Serbia @ -125

Serbia bounced back superbly after suffering a 1-0 defeat against Norway in their first match of the tournament. They’ve won their last two games and sit one point behind Norway in the second spot of Group C4. They’ll take on Slovenia for the second time, having won their last meeting by a score of 4-1. The game was tied at 1-1 until a Sergej Milinkovic-Savic goal in the 56th minute put Serbia up for good. They added two more goals late into the game while out-possessing Slovenia 59% of the game.

Representing the group as the weaker of the four teams, Slovenia doesn’t stand much chance outside of stealing a point with a draw. They did so against Norway, taking away the top-seeded team’s chance at a clean 3-0-0 record. Serbia is seeking a promotion to Group A and will need as many points as possible ahead of their final game of the group stage against Norway, the very team that beat them earlier in the tournament.

Winner + Both Teams to Score: Serbia-Yes (+333)

While Serbia is expected to reign supreme in today’s contest, we still believe in Slovenia to put up some fight. They kept the ball possession close over most of the match and scored once on six shot attempts. Defensively, they have looked much better after losing 4-1 to Serbia, and they can make it interesting if they get the goalkeeping.

It’s not out of the realm of possibility that they score a goal in today’s contest, and we’re leaning towards them potting at least one despite ultimately losing. They’ll need to do so without the services of Leo Stulac and Blaz Kramer, who are both out due to injury, along with Miha Blazic, who will miss today’s contest due to suspension.

Moneyline: Portugal @ +110

The last time these two teams met, Ronaldo doubled up on scoring to lead Portugal to an easy 4-0 victory over Switzerland. The teams were closely-matched in ball possession, but the shot attempts heavily favoured Portugal, who led Switzerland 18-5. William Carvalho opened up the scoring in the 15th minute, and João Cancelo got the game’s last goal in the 68th minute. Since then, Portugal has taken over Group A2 with seven points, two ahead of Spain. Switzerland has yet to earn a point, losing all three of their games thus far.

One interesting note is that Ronaldo won’t be a part of today’s 23-player roster. The Portuguese club has a total of 26 players, meaning three players will sit out, and one of them is the country’s top star. He isn’t hurt, it appears to be a matter of load management and an attempt to keep the 37-year-old fresh. Even without him in the lineup, Portugal should still have an easy time taking down the fairly-inferior Swiss club.
