3 MLB FanDuel Studs to Target on Monday 9/26/22

Just like in other sports, the focal point of your daily fantasy baseball lineups will be your high-salary studs. These guys take up by far the biggest chunk of your cap space, but they also offer the highest ceiling. And in the case of pitchers, the high-salary options typically come with the highest floors, too.

For hitters, we're looking for guys with big numbers, strong matchups, and with players around them that are likely to produce, as well, increasing our chances for runs and RBI. For pitchers, we want big strikeout numbers, while the ability to go deep in a game and pick up a win is also valuable.

With your high-salary picks playing such a big role in your lineup, you need to be right on these guys, so let's take a look at a few top-end options you can count on to anchor your lineup today.

Kevin Gausman, SP, Toronto Blue Jays ($10,200)

There aren't a ton of opportunities for great pitchers tonight, but one who really stands out is Kevin Gausman of the Toronto Blue Jays tonight.

Gausman faces a New York Yankees that's been hot lately but has only logged a .316 wOBA and a 23.0% strikeout rate over the last 30 days.

Even if his ERA is up half a tick, the veteran right-hander has been even better this season. He's posted a 2.83 FIP, 24.3% K-BB% rate, and 31.0% hard-hit rate on the year.

We project Gausman for 37.2 FanDuel points -- tops on the main slate. He's easily the best pitcher play tonight.

Michael Harris II, OF, Atlanta Braves ($4,100)

If there's one hitter who you need to smash into your lineups tonight, Michael Harris II certainly fits the bill of that must-win play.

Cory Abbott is probably starting to feel a bit aggrieved in this situation -- every time he is on the mound, we are picking people to roster against him. Abbott has really struggled this year, allowing a terrible 26.3% ground-ball rate and 2.08 HR/9.

Lefties have slammed Abbott this year, rocking him for a .519 slugging percentage and a whopping 69.0% fly-ball rate. Yowzers.

Meanwhile, Harris has made plenty of loud contact this season, sporting a solid .230 isolated power (ISO) in 2022.

Harris projects as our third-best hitter on the slate.

Rafael Devers, 3B, Boston Red Sox ($3,800)

Jordan Lyles has been mediocre as a starter this year, but with Camden Yards moving their fences back, he has certainly benefitted from larger field dimensions.

This season, he has demonstrated remarkable home-road splits. He's logged a 3.47 ERA and .320 wOBA at home, but an inflated 5.48 ERA and .361 wOBA away from home.

Tonight, he will be pitching Fenway Park, which ranks fourth in park factor and ninth in home run factor on the year.

That makes a guy like Rafael Devers a spicy play. Over 579 plate appearances, he's posted a 138 wRC+ and .521 slugging percentage.

I like Devers to go big tonight.
