Brentford vs. Tottenham

Tottenham to win -105

Tottenham are 9W-2D-4L on the season with a +10 goal difference, putting them in 4th place as the EPL resumes after the World Cup pause.

Spurs have struggled against top teams this season, with their losses coming against Liverpool, Newcastle, Manchester United, and Arsenal, all of whom are currently in the top six of the table.

Spurs have dominated against teams outside of the top six, going 9-2-0 in those matches.

Brentford are having a decent season at 4-7-4 and are in 10th place, but they are certainly not on the level of the top six teams that Spurs have struggled against.

Tottenham look to continue to beat up on the lesser opponents with a victory against mid-table Brentford.

Everton vs. Wolves

Draw +220 | Wolves +220

Everton and Wolves are both off to shockingly bad starts to their season, and both find themselves in contention for relegation.

Everton are 3-5-7 with only 14 points and are the second-worst team by FBref's xGD in the league at -10.0. The Toffees are hanging on just outside the relegation zone with 14 points, just a single point better than 18th-place Nottingham Forest.

Wolves are struggling even more than Everton with a 2-4-9 record that puts them in last place for the moment. However, Wolves have a -4.8 xGD, which is more than 5 goals better than Everton’s. They are a much better defensive team than Everton (19.6 xGA compared to 25.4 xGA for the Toffees), and they should be able to get at least a draw from this game.

Wolves may even have a slight advantage and could get a victory, but splitting your bet between Wolves win and draw is also a viable option.

Leicester City vs. Newcastle

Newcastle to win +120

Newcastle are not getting proper respect as a legitimate Champions League contender despite being 8-6-1 to start the year with a very impressive +9.9 xGD.

The Magpies are third in the table and third in the league in xGD, and at almost the halfway point of the season, it is fair to say this is not a fluke run. Newcastle have arrived as one of the top teams in the EPL, and they should be expecting to win against a bottom-half team in Leicester City.

Leicester City are 14th in the table and have a -4.6 xGD, which ranks 14th in the league. They are not a strong side this season, and even at home they are a mediocre 2-2-3.

Newcastle should win this game and start the post-World Cup portion of the season on the right foot.
