Fantasy Corner: Forward Picks for Daily Fantasy – 05/25/2022

The best forward picks for their value for daily fantasy. As the second round has passed the halfway mark and there are typically only one to two games a night, the players you don’t expect are often the ones who push you closer to victory and are the difference makers. So, here are a few picks for tonight’s action.

Nazem Kadri

Nazem Kadri was at the receiving end of a ton of hate by some St. Louis Blues fans after accidentally running into Jordan Binnington and knocking him out for this round of playoffs. He responded with an incredible performance and scored a hat trick while adding an assist in the Colorado Avalanche’s Game 4 win. His four goals and seven points in four games in this series are something to watch.

He is now tied with two other teammates with 10 points in eight games while tied in first with five goals. Kadri is known to take bad penalties and get suspended at the most inopportune times in the playoffs. But this season he has changed his ways and is playing great hockey, helping his team try and advance past the second round.

David Perron

David Perron has been one of the leaders for the Blues and has the most playoff goals (nine) and points (13) on his team. Those nine goals have come in clutch. He has recorded four multi-goal games in the 10 games he’s played this postseason while scoring two of them in just four games this series. Three of the four multi-goal games have come in wins. That is what I mean by clutch.

He plays top-line minutes and has said that he loves to play with Ryan O’Reilly. We can all see why, as the top line of the Blues has gotten them this far and they have all shown up to the playoffs.

Pavel Buchnevich

Pavel Buchnevich is now the third member of the Blues’ top line. He joins Perron and O’Reilly who already have great chemistry and tries to add his skillset into the mix to get the team some must-needed wins in do-or-die upcoming games.

He was over a point per game player in his first season with the Blues, has nine points in 10 games this playoffs, and has elevated his game against the Avalanche, scoring one goal and five points in four games. The Blues are a deep team upfront, but the top line has been far above the rest. That’s why it’s a good night to load up on those players on a night where there’s only one game.
