Wolves vs. Southampton

Southampton to win +230
Southampton and Draw -165

Wolves are off to a slow start this season with a 0W-3D-2L record to start the year, putting them in the relegation zone after the first five games. Wolves' struggles have come despite a somewhat favorable schedule that has included matches against newly promoted sides Fulham and Bournemouth. Wolves drew both games versus those sides by 0-0 scorelines, and they also lost 2-1 against a Leeds team that finished 17th in the league last campaign.

Southampton have started the year 2-1-2 and are coming off an impressive win against Chelsea last weekend. Southampton have faced a difficult schedule this season, taking on Tottenham, Manchester United and Chelsea already, but they have still gotten off to a much better start than Wolves have.

Southampton should have a good chance to win outright, but taking Southampton and Draw as a safer play is also a viable option.

Newcastle vs. Crystal Palace

Newcastle to win +100

Newcastle look like one of the most improved teams in the league this season, but they have just one win to show for it so far. Newcastle lost last weekend on a last-second goal at Liverpool, and they drew in a crazy 3-3 game against Manchester City.

The Magpies have already proven they can hang with the top teams in the league, and they will be looking for a full three points against a Palace side that projects for the middle of the table.

Palace are 1-2-2 to start this season with a -1.0 expected goal (xG) differential, per FBRef, as they continue to be a solid but unspectacular Premier League side. Last season, Palace went 11-15-12, finishing in 12th place, and they look on track to have another similar season this year.

The Eagles are certainly a pesky side, but Newcastle is more talented and should prevail if they play to their capabilities.

Nottingham Forest vs. Bournemouth

Draw +270

Forest and Bournemouth are off to very similar starts this season, and they have identical records at 1-1-3.

Forest are five goals ahead on goal difference, although Bournemouth are actually ahead on xG differential by 1.2 goals. Both teams have faced difficult schedules, with Forest losing 6-0 to Manchester City and 2-0 to Tottenham the past two weeks, while Bournemouth have lost 4-0 to City, 3-0 to Arsenal and 9-0 to Liverpool.

It’s clear both teams are outclassed against the league’s top competition, and both of these teams will likely be in a year-long relegation battle. They have both shown some promise when facing teams outside of the top six, and this appears to be an evenly matched game.

Getting a draw at almost 3-1 is great value, as both teams may be happy with a point if the game is tied toward the latter stages.
