NHL Betting: Player Props – Ovechkin, Kuznetsov, & Fiala – 04/22/22

For today’s NHL prop bets, we had to go to any team facing the Arizona Coyotes. So Alex Ovechkin and Evgeny Kuznetsov will surely find the scoresheet tonight. Then Kevin Fiala hopes to stay hot as the Minnesota Wild also take on a weak opponent in the Seattle Kraken.

Alex Ovechkin – Anytime Goal-Scorer (-154)

Ovechkin has shown no signs of slowing down as he ages. He has just hit the 50-goal mark for the ninth time in his career, tying the all-time record held by Wayne Gretzky and Mike Bossy. On top of that, he has scored the most goals in a season by a player aged 36 or older, flying by Teemu Selanne over the past couple of games.

Ovechkin is on fire right now with his scoring, and playing the Coyotes will surely help him keep that pace up. He has scored in seven of his past eight games and put eight pucks in the back of the net. He won’t be comfortable with only 50 goals this season considering he is the fourth player to reach that mark. He has his sights set on Gretzky’s goal record, so look for him to net another one tonight.

Evgeny Kuznetsov – Assists (Over 0.5, -120)

To go along with Ovechkin scoring a goal in their Washington Capitals game against the Coyotes, you might as well add Kuznetsov to pick up an assist. He has also been red-hot, just in the assists category. Playing on a line with Ovechkin, it’s hard not to feed him for goals, while he can find the back of the net by himself just as easily.

Kuznetsov has 12 assists in his past 12 games and has been held without one in three of those. I like 75 percent, especially since their matchup will be much easier than their other recent games. The Coyotes have given up five or more goals in seven of their last eight games.

Kevin Fiala – Anytime Goal-Scorer (+190)

Fiala has had one of the hottest hands in the NHL over the past couple of weeks, helping the Wild to three consecutive wins and a great month of April. Nothing has been able to stop him as he has eight goals in his last six games and has scored in five of them. In the other, an assist.

He is shooting a lot, including 20 shots over those games, and the Wild team around him is also hot, so the success has been coming from everywhere. He is a point-per-game player and also has Matt Boldy on his line who broke onto the scene in a big way. This line is very underrated and has been producing a ton lately.
