3 NHL FanDuel Value Plays to Target on Monday 4/18/22

Spending lower in any daily fantasy lineup is a way to incorporate some diversity into your roster. In NHL DFS, there is typically more value in this strategy but also a good deal of risk, too. The right low-salary plays can give you good production while affording you more chances to roster high-salary studs.

Monday night features six games. Let's see what may be out there.

Matty Beniers, Center, Seattle Kraken

FanDuel Salary: $4,000

The Seattle Kraken rookie center seems to have this NHL thing figured out, doesn't he?

The former Michigan Wolverines standout has a goal and an assist in two games while essentially playing top-line minutes for Seattle. Matty Beniers is not playing on the penalty kill and is seeing power-play time of note.

Beniers' four shots and five scoring chances are also easy to take along with the matchup versus the Ottawa Senators.

With both teams likely to light the lamp a few times, Beniers should find space to take advantage of the Senators' defense.

Vasily Podkolzin, Wing, Vancouver Canucks

FanDuel Salary: $3,700

If only the Vancouver Canucks had utilized Vasily Podkolzin like this sooner.

He has three goals and three assists in his last four contests, but the winger's salary is still a measly $3,700.

The Dallas Stars and the road do not always mix. They yield 3.02 goals per game on the road and are right around .500 (19-17-2) despite a recent 6-2-2 overall stretch.

This is a winger whose speed and quick release can be a terror for a team that has trouble scoring in Dallas. Vancouver's secret weapon is becoming less of one now.

Michael Del Zotto, Defenseman, Ottawa Senators

FanDuel Salary: $3,900

So, Michael Del Zotto is doing that late-season rack-up real-world points thing to latch onto another team this summer? It seems like it.

The potential is for another value night. Del Zotto is going up against a team that yields 3.47 goals per game and has a worsening penalty kill functioning at just 75.1%.

The veteran defender sees around 18-19 minutes per night and will have his chances to pad his goal and assist numbers on Monday night.

His decent floor makes this a little dicey, but Del Zotto could feast on the Kraken.
