There might only be a couple of games each day now that the second round is here, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t a lot of good options for daily fantasy lineups. The mid-level players are often what can differentiate a lineup, as the superstars get a high percentage of use. This betting guide offers some of the best value options for forwards in today’s Game 1s.
Vincent Trocheck, Florida Panthers
With three goals and four assists in the first round against the Boston Bruins, Vincent Trocheck was a great, mid-priced center in the first round for daily fantasy. He had a pair of multi-point games and got tons of minutes on the power play. He’s a good option for the second round, too.

Trocheck played very well in four games against the Rangers during the regular season, notching two goals and two assists. He had a goal and an assist in their most recent meeting, Carolina’s second-to-last regular-season game on April 26. Trocheck was very involved and had a lot of opportunities in the first round, and his success against the Rangers should make him a great value play in daily lineups.
Kailer Yamamoto, Edmonton Oilers
Kailer Yamamoto is still a very inexpensive option on a number of platforms, and he has tremendous value going into the second round. The Oilers right wing had just a goal and two assists in the first round against the Los Angeles Kings but was getting regular minutes, taking his share of shots, and—most importantly—was playing a lot with the top line at the end of the series.
Despite his size, Yamamoto also has the ability to get a blocked shot here and there, which is another value boost. For his price, he’s worth a definite look. The potential for points is there as long as he’s playing alongside the likes of Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl. If he stays up there, his price won’t remain this cheap for long.
Tyler Toffoli, Calgary Flames
Goals were hard to come by for Tyler Toffoli in the first round, but goals were hard for every Flames player against Dallas goalie Jake Oettinger. He still scored a goal and an assist in the series, and the goal was a big one in Game 7. The points weren’t there, but the shots and opportunities sure were. Oettinger’s performance caused a dip in the prices for a number of Flames, including Toffoli.

Toffoli racked up 16 shots over the last four games and had multiple scoring chances that were stonewalled by a hot netminder. There should be a little more room against Edmonton, and the series should be at a higher pace. His 10 career points against the Oilers are also the most against any single opponent, and he should be a great, value option throughout the series.
