UEFA Nations League Betting: BLR vs AZE & CRO vs FRA – 06/06/22

Kicking off Day 6 of UEFA Nations League, matches from Leagues A, B, C, and D are in full swing. Yesterday, the Czech Republic stunned powerhouse Spain with a 2-2 draw, while Norway edged Sweden 2-1. Today, seven matches in total have some teams aiming to pull away from their groups. We’ll be covering France’s attempt to redeem a 2-1 loss to Denmark on Matchday 1 and Belarus going head-to-head with Azerbaijan. This is the place to find everything, including team win odds, the over/under, and point spreads.

Moneyline: Belarus @ +187

The last time these two teams encountered one another, Azerbaijan pulled out a surprise 2-1 victory. Since then, they have failed to secure a win in 11 international games. Belarus has won three consecutive games but will play their home games at a neutral location. This certainly causes some travel issues, and head coach Georgy Kondratyev will need to lift his squad’s spirits during this troubling time.

Azerbaijan head coach Gianni De Biasi will need to get his club going, as they have yet to score a goal since the turn of the new year. While they’ve kept it close by half-time of each game, they’ve squandered the chance to take some points with a draw. Another surprise win against Belarus would help propel them into a tournament promotion, but it’s best not to count on that too quickly. Belarus is coming in with some momentum, and their odds to take a victory are enticing.

Prop Bet: Half Time/Full Time Result (Draw – Belarus, +500)

With Azerbaijan’s recent struggles to produce any type of offense, a draw is a likely scenario when both teams head into halftime. Belarus got off to an early lead in their opening game against North Macedonia, thanks to a goal from Kiril Despodov, but they’ll look to defend early against a hungry Azerbaijan team.

The likely scenario will play out with Belarus taking a lead in the second half of the game, cruising their way to victory. After Azerbaijan failed to register a goal against teams like Malta, Latvia, and Kazakhstan, it’s highly unlikely they get one past Belarus today. At +500 for the two teams to play to a draw by the first half and then Belarus securing three points appears to be the best play.

Moneyline: France @ +100

France and Croatia will be in the same boat heading into today’s contest. Both teams suffered a heartbreaking home loss to open up Group Stage matches and are looking to rebound. France failed to pull off a comeback against Denmark, while Croatia was upset by Austria by a score of 3-0. In five contests between the two clubs, Croatia has yet to beat Les Bleus, losing four times and drawing once.

France will be without Kylian Mbappe, who suffered an injury in Friday’s contest, and will be replaced by Karim Benzema. Goalkeeper Hugo Lloris gives France a huge advantage with his experience, holding 138 victories and 16 shutouts in his career. France is known to be a slow starter for international tournaments, and they’ll look to redeem their opening-day loss against a struggling Croatian club.
