Fantasy Corner: Forward Picks for Daily Fantasy – 05/22/2022

With three games on the slate for Sunday, there are more options to fill out your lineups, making your less expensive plays even more important. This betting guide will deliver some good, inexpensive options that have been performing well to optimize your daily fantasy plays.

Ross Colton, Tampa Bay Lightning

Ross Colton has recorded at least a point in six of his last seven games, and there are still 10 centers more expensive than him in today’s slate of games. He’s been one of the most consistent performers for the Lightning the entire postseason, and his game-winning goal in the final seconds of Game 2 is going to stick with Tampa Bay fans for a long time.

After not scoring in the first two games against Toronto in the first round, Colton has notched at least a point in every playoff game but one since. He is also racking up shots, totaling seven in his last two games. He’s active on the power play, too, meaning he has great potential to continue his scoring pace at one a very affordable price.

Blake Coleman, Calgary Flames

Blake Coleman scored two goals in the wild Game 1 against the Edmonton Oilers, and those were his first two goals of the postseason. However, Coleman has been a pretty solid performer at a ridiculously low price throughout the playoffs. He racks up a lot of blocks and even more shots on goal, meaning the potential for points makes him a good value play.

Coleman has 27 shots on target through his first nine games of the postseason and has 14 in his last three games. He blocked five shots in the first round against the Dallas Stars and had a pair of blocks in Game 2. He’s gotten more involved in the offense as of late, and as the shots tick up, so will his points. As long as he keeps getting quality minutes, he should be a good bargain play.

Nick Paul, Tampa Bay Lightning

Nick Paul was the hero for the Tampa Bay Lightning in the first round, scoring two goals in Game 7 to sink the Toronto Maple Leafs. He’s been a steady play in daily fantasy ever since, and still has a wildly cheap price on all platforms. Those two goals were his only two goals of the postseason, but he picked up an assist in Game 1 against the Panthers.

Paul has been very consistent lately, picking up at least four shots on goal in four of his last five games. He also has points in three of those games and has blocked five shots over that five-game stretch, as well. He might be an underdog to score another two-goal game, but he’ll likely deliver a solid score in Game 3.
