Three games fill up the slate on Sunday, and that means plenty of options for daily fantasy lineups. Saving up on defense can help get some of those big guns at forward in the lineup. This betting guide will give some high-value picks that come at a low cost at the blue line for Sunday’s trio of Game 3s.
Evan Bouchard, Edmonton Oilers
Evan Bouchard struggled at the end of the Edmonton Oilers’ first-round series against the Los Angeles Kings. He didn’t score a point in the final four contests and didn’t even get a shot on target in Game 7. Those struggles are over. Bouchard has a goal in each of the first two games of the second-round series against the Calgary Flames, and that series doesn’t look like it’s going to slow down on the scoring.

His price has ticked up a bit because of his last two games, but he’s still remarkably affordable. Bouchard’s goal was a big one for the Oilers, and bigger in DFS because it came on the power play. He also piled up five shots on goal in Game 2. This is a player who can get streaky, and it looks like he’s starting another one. Even with the increased price, he deserves a serious look on Sunday.
Ryan Lindgren, New York Rangers
Ryan Lindgren hasn’t scored a point against the Carolina Hurricanes through the first two games of the series, but he’s been a decent, low-salary play throughout the entire postseason. His value comes from his blocked shots. He’s blocked at least three shots in each of his last three games and has blocked 18 shots in his last six games.
Lindgren is also involved in the offense. He’s recorded at least three shots on goal in five of his last seven games. The points haven’t been there as much as many would like, but those will come for him with how involved he’s been in the offense. If you’re looking for an inexpensive player to plug in on defense, Lindgren’s price tag and consistency make him a great play.
Gustav Forsling, Florida Panthers
Gustav Forsling has just three points in the playoffs, but he’s been very involved in the offense in both the first and second round. He notched an assist in Game 2 against the Tampa Bay Lightning, but more importantly, he piled up five shots on goal. Forsling has multiple shots on goal in six of his eight playoff games this season and has eight in his last two contests.

Forsling doesn’t get the blocked shots that give defensemen an extra tier of value, but he makes up for it with shots. As the series moves to Tampa Bay, expect Forsling’s increased involvement in the offensive game to continue. At his price, he’s a good bargain to get a number of shots on goal and should be a good play to get a point in the heated all-Florida series.
